Take your cardio to the next level and melt fat like butter

I was able to get a preview of the new Turbo Fire HIIT 15 workout from Beachbody.  The HIIT 15 is only a 20 minute workout and let me tell you… I was pouring with sweat by the end! This was only 20 minutes!  Turbo Fire HIIT (High Intensity Interval Training) was intense and I LOVED every minute of it.  I can’t wait for this program to be released on June 18.

Baggy clothes

So I’ve come to the realization that my clothes are too big for me now.  I’m down 2 sizes – but that depends on where you shop.   Some stores only sell sizes from 2, 4, 6, 8, 10, 12.  While other stores sells clothes in the odd sizes; 3, 5, 7, 9, 11.  If you were to combine the sizes – then technically I’m down 4 sizes.  FOUR sizes!!!! I like the sound of that.  It’s got a nice ring to it doesn’t it?

Pretty soon, I’ll have to start shopping for a new wardrobe.  I’ve been holding off because I’m still not at my goal weight.  What’s the point in buying new clothes now, when I’ll have to buy new clothes later?  Granted, my pants are really baggy on me now and I need a belt to keep them up.  The funny thing about wearing pants that are too big for you – when you put a belt on and tighten it – it looks like you have bubble butt.  Yup, that is NOT a good look – funny – but not a good look.

Changing my eating habits

This is the first week of the Push phase and I am really feeling it! I’m using the 10 lbs weights more now.  (Holy soreness Batman!!!)

I was surprised to step on the scale and see that I was down another pound.  I’ve been trying to be really good about what I’ve been eating and it’s a little easier now than it has been in the past.   A friend of mine is a baker and she brought me a half-dozen cupcakes as a thank you for getting her new business off the ground.  In the past, I would have eaten all of the cupcakes in one sitting.  This time, no.  I had one.  Just ONE and guess what?  I didn’t freak out because I had a tray of cupcakes in front of me!  That’s a first!!!

I’m thinking more of the consequences.  I’ve put in all this hard work now, why throw it away on gorging myself on food?  Why take a few steps back and mess up my progress?  It’s not worth it.  I can have what I crave, I just can’t have a lot of it.  I used to eat really fast, now, I’m learning to eat slowly so that I can actually savor my food.  Does it make me feel full faster?  Yeah, it actually does.
