Insanity – Official Day 1, Plyometric Cardio Circuit

Day 1 of Insanity (or day 2 if you count Fit Test as Day 1) – holy crapola!!! I did it!!!! Well… towards the end, I was getting tired, but I did it!!!!  I was a little hesitant to try this crazy cardio workout only because my cardio sucked to begin with.  If I do intense cardio, I tend to wheeze.  But after doing Turbo Jam/TurboKick since January, my cardio has gotten a lot better.  Hey – I freakin’ made it thru Insanity Day 1.  Though my breathing did tend to get a little hard at the end, I slowed it down to catch my breathe and I was fine.  I almost just layed on the floor, but I it felt like I would pass out, so I got up and kept moving.  (DUH – I know you’re not supposed to stop in the middle of a workout – I was just so spent! ha ha)

Shaun T. said the fat is supposed to burn off you like  candle wax… let’s see if this is true!!!  But if tonight’s workout is any indication… I can’t wait to see what my results will be in 60 days!!!

Insanity baby!!

I got the Insanity program today. The packaging is pretty cool — not what I was expecting. When you take it out of the box, it looks like an over-sized textbook. (I was wondering what the hell I got myself into!) What they did was a creative way to house the dvds. Unlike the P90x dvds, which are in a small, cd/dvd wallet style holder (which can make it sometimes hard to pull a dvd out) the insanity dvds are 2 to a “page” in the book.

I did the fit test a while ago (after doing ChaLean Extreme Push Circuit 3).  The fit test was only 30 minutes, but WOW! I was sweating big time!!!  This is going to be an intense workout but I can tell, I’m already going to love it. I think this cardio program is really going to help me lose some weight, while ChaLean Extreme will help me build muscle.

I dropped another pound!!!!!

5 pounds in 5 weeks. Holy crapola! WOW!  That’s the most I’ve lost in a long time – and that’s including when I had a stomach flu!  Woo hoo!  If I stay on track – I’ll really be at my goal weight of 115!!! OMG! How freakin’ cool is that?!  I should give myself a gift when I hit another 5 pound loss.  What should it be? Well, really it should be a new wardrobe.  As it is, my pants are falling off me now.  Last week I was running late, and I had to sprint from the parking lot to make the train – all while holding my pants up!!! My gut and my ass are much smaller and not holding my pants up… I know, I know – I should get a belt (I have one somewhere, I must find it).  Really, I need a new wardrobe for work, but I’m not going to put any money into that until I see more weight loss.
